The Researcher / Maker:
My name is Hanna Slättne. I am an artist and PhD researcher at Queen’s University Belfast. My artistic work is in storytelling for theatre, dance and immersive audio.
Adventures in Metaplasticity explore different ways the body engages with the environment, through immersive sound, performance and story.
About me
The Adventures in Metaplasticity project started with Worldbuilders, a practice-based PhD project in which I created immersive audio stories for people living with Parkinson's disease.
The idea came from my experience with family and friends living with Parkinson’s disease and my previous artistic work in immersive audio, theatre and storytelling.
I have since started to develop other artistic works and experiences exploring metaplasticity and embodied engagement through immersive audio and performance. More detail will follow as they evolve.
